It can be said that as a car industry practitioner, I am very fortunate (or unfortunate?) experienced these two rumors.

Looking back, the most crucial step is the step of transforming new energy in early 16 years. I am very grateful for the correct choice I made at that time.

The perfect starting point for a career

After graduating from college, I didn't study at the university and went directly to work.

In fact, it is mainly difficult at home. At that time, I wanted to make money early and reduce the burden on my family.

When he graduated, he entered the Pan Asia Technical Center to do chassis research and development, which is the technical center of SAIC General Motors. People outside the circle may not know that Pan Asia was still very well-known in the automotive industry. It is not an exaggeration to say that the status of the automobile circle at that time was a bit like the Tsinghua University in the university. It was a dream place for many people.

In that year, we recruited a lot of people, most of them were graduate students, and there were very few undergraduates. I was one of them.

Although I don’t say it on the surface, my heart is still very proud: What’s wrong with the education, can I still do research and development?

At that time, I felt that I was very good, and the starting point of my career was still perfect.

Common problems of big companies

When I first entered, it was quite fresh, because my university was not a car major, and everything had to start over.

That would mean that GM is God in my heart, and everything is completely collected, and I have learned a lot.

But after a few years, I started to feel uncomfortable.

On the one hand, it feels too unfair.

I was in the business department, I was working on the development of the project, and some departments were non-business units. Their job was to support the business department.

It is nominally supportive, but it is actually a grandfather.

Let them do something, it was originally a matter of the matter, and the result was that the grandfather had to tell his grandmother that the aunts who had gone to the financial reimbursement had never given a good look.

We are overwhelmed by the business assessment indicators, and the pressure is huge. Some colleagues, after work every day, are licking melon seeds, visiting Taobao, watching movies, and being very leisurely.

What we worry about every day is that time is not enough, and people worry that the phone's power is not enough.

The most frustrating thing is that people's wages are not lower than you.

At that time, I thought of a very appropriate metaphor. They are the blood-sucking insects sucked on the company. By sucking the blood of the company, my daily work is to create blood for the company, and a large part of the blood is sucked by them. It is.

When I decided to leave, I jumped into my mind and thought: You bloodsucking worms, I don’t play with you, you can’t suck my blood anymore, you have the ability to jump, see which company is willing to ask you. .

When I think of it, I can’t do it.

The second problem is that the company's wrangling is too serious.

When something went wrong, the problem that everyone considered was not to solve the problem, but to try to push the problem out. In the final analysis, it is because of fear of affecting the KPI of the department and the boss.

If it takes a month to solve a problem, then maybe the first 29 days are all kinds of shovels, and the last day is left to really solve the problem.

Here, an important indicator of a person's ability is to see if you can "block out" the problem and clean yourself up. Everyone who has this ability is admired.

After all, the daily work content, about a half of the time is in the skin.

Another point is that the anxiety in my heart is getting more and more uncontrollable.

I have been working on the design of mechanical systems for so many years, but with the development of automotive electrification, this part has gradually been replaced by electronic structures. And all my work experience is in this part, what should I do when I get there?

For the electrified things, I have never been in contact since I worked. The teachers in the school have already given back to the teachers. Even if you go to school now, it is not as fast as those who have just graduated. Where is the competitiveness of the workplace in the future? How can we avoid the bad performance of the company, and will not be laid off first when layoffs?

I remember seeing a question long ago, saying that in the 1990s, the situation of the laid-off tide, many of the answers described the situation after the laid-off and unemployment is very tragic.

I can't stop my anxiety in my heart. How can I avoid unemployment? This problem is often thought of before going to bed, thinking about falling asleep for a while.

Not a rough job search road

There are many kinds of dynamics for change, but the biggest power is always only one, that is fear, fear of the future.

I was so flustered during that time.

At that time, just as new energy vehicles were in full swing, I thought that it would be great to have a slogan.

Just in time to catch up with Wei, I went to the interview.

At that time, in the second half of 2015, although Weilai was still very prosperous, it was still far less glamorous. At that time, the office building was still in a broken building. It was the kind of rough house, and I was deeply impressed. : Lying in the trough, this can also work.

During the interview, a Chinese and a foreigner, I was a mammoth, and even said that I had a plan (English ability to catch anxious), and then I was moved by myself.

After the face is over, let me go back and wait for the notice. After a few days, I will tell me that the position is inappropriate and failed. I have lost for a few days.

By the way, there is one more point. The sister who received the reception at Wei’s reception looks pretty good.

After the year, a headhunter called me and said that Shanghai meteorite recruited people. I hadn’t heard of the meteorite at that time. I thought it was a pheasant company. I didn’t listen to it. It’s like rejection. The headhunter then said, A lot of past Asians, including your former colleague.

After hanging up the phone, I contacted the next colleague, because I was familiar before, just talked a bit, let me wait for the offer.

After a few days, the offer was sent over, and my heart was tangled for a long time.

First, it is reluctant to stabilize Pan Asia, and it is worried that the new company will not last long.

I finally decided to go, after all, there is really not much such a big company that is willing to give money.

It will take a few years to change jobs.

Biggest impact

The system and process of the new company is very similar to that of Pan Asia. The insiders call it “small pan-Asian”, so the new company hardly needs to adapt, and there is no on-the-job training. In the morning, it will start working in the afternoon.

But it didn't take long before the biggest impact came.

The set of things that I used to be the GM of the Bible is not applicable here. It's not that GM's set is not good, but that one can only be applied to GM, and other companies are not applicable, so everything in the past is not necessarily applicable, so ask why.

The conversion of this concept is very important, and even one of the most influential concepts of change to me.

I realized from this that no matter which company, all the knowledge and skills you have in this company are for this company. Get out of this company and talk about it from this environment. Anything is going to be a question mark. In other words, what you said here today is correct, but you may not be right when you say this to another company. This is my biggest feeling at the time.

This shift in thinking made me realize that my thinking might be banned by my experience.

Since then, when I was thinking about problems, I often asked myself, although I have been doing this before, is this the best? Is there a better way? The idea that I have always taken for granted must be right?

It allows me to think about problems from more dimensions, rather than sticking to previous ideas. It is no exaggeration to say that this is one of my biggest achievements so far.

Not afraid of the road, I’m afraid I’m not sure.

Another big gain is the ability to overcome difficulties.

First and foremost is the problem of the supplier system. Suppliers are those who sell the parts to the car manufacturer, such as the well-known Bosch, the mainland is a supplier.

Previously, Pan Asia's suppliers were world-renowned suppliers, many of which were among the top 500 in the world, and all suppliers were asking us. Many private suppliers are looking for us and asking if we can give us a chance.

In fact, we are not looking at them, I think they are too Low.

Come out and mix, always have to pay back, just did not expect it will be so fast.

Because after the Rock, the status was completely reversed, many suppliers did not play with us, and even many private enterprises that we could not stand before. They don't say anything, I actually know that they don't see us in their hearts.

But there is no way, the project has to be done, there must be suppliers to supply.

So, look for a variety of resources, to call a variety of companies that have not even heard the name, and use the approximate tone to fight for cooperation opportunities.

Even so, the closed door is often eaten. If a family can't, change one. The face is worth a few dollars.

Well, with the background of “small pan-Asia”, many suppliers are willing to cooperate with us.

It is also the case that many companies have been visited and have a deeper understanding of the entire Chinese automotive industry.

The multinational suppliers that have cooperated before are glamorous and bright, and they are a bit like developed countries. Now, we are in contact with the good, and there are still good models. Just like developing countries, the difference is terrible, just like African countries.

I visited a supplier and said that it is a company. In fact, it is a family workshop. Except for the boss, all the employees are an assistant, a couple of temporary workers, a canteen staff (boss fucking) and a dog (watching the factory at night). use).

This thing has given me a lot. The biggest gain is:
