SanDisk today announced a new embedded hard disk " integrated SSD " ( iSSD ), which is smaller than an ordinary stamp, but still has a fairly high capacity and performance.
SanDisk iSSD is the industry's first SSD product to use a small BGA package and supports SATA interface standard . It measures only 16 x 20 x 1.85 mm and weighs less than 1 gram . It can be soldered directly to any motherboard for next-generation mobile computing. Platform, and compatible with all modern operating systems.
This SSD has a minimum capacity of 4GB and a maximum capacity of 64GB . The continuous reading speed is 160MB/s and the continuous writing speed is 100MB/s .
SanDisk iSSD samples are now available to OEMs and are being evaluated by first-tier motherboard vendors.
