Semiconductor intellectual property (IP) supplier CAST currently introduces the latest image scaling, video de-interlacing, and graphics acceleration IP cores for video and image IP core series products.
CAST previously provided one of the most widely used and most usable video and image compression IP series, which has H.264, JPEG2000 and five JPEG versions. The latest processing core has the typical functions required before and after compression or decompression, so CAST can provide a more complete video / image IP package for system-on-chip (SoC) designers.
Products currently launched for ASIC and FPGA include:
· Polynomial, frequency domain and anisotropic image scaler: can convert the original resolution of the image or video to the resolution of the system display. Various image scaler cores can help designers optimize system applications from very small mobile displays to ultra-high resolution large screens.
· Motion adaptive video deinterlacer: can convert analog TV or 1080i signal to non-interlaced high-quality format for continuous processing or display. The deinterlacer can quickly and accurately detect the film mode-it is also called Inverse Telecine or 3: 2 Pulldown-used to reproduce the original film data at 24 frames per second.
2D graphics accelerator: You can accelerate the drawing / rendering of high-quality, high-resolution images by implementing general graphics functions such as module transmission and vector drawing in advanced hardware.
